On November 7th, our DECA Chapter brought 17 members to the Fall Leadership Conference. This event took place at the Johnson and Wales harborside campus. The fall conference is an amazing opportunity for any student to participate in.

The conference began with a keynote speaker who owns a security system company. The speaker focused on the importance of networking and mentorship in any career field. Afterwards, each member got to attend three workshops of their choice. There were many workshops, such as Rock the Roleplay, Entrepreneurship, Basics of Banking, Ticket Sales and Marketing, Insurance and Investments, and much more. Each of our members learned important skills from each workshop that they can use for years to come.

In addition to the workshops, networking played an enormous role in the conference. There were many other DECA members from all over the state. Meeting all of these high schoolers interested in similar career paths can open so many doors to opportunity.

Finally, we had the opportunity to meet the DECA North Atlantic Vice President and ask her questions. The 2025 DECA Fall Leadership conference was a fun and successful event that had many important lessons.
